If God Made You
Real Audio | QuickTime | Windows Media: low or high
Hey Kid… Your time has come to change
Though I need you more than I’ve needed anyone in any way tonight
Hey Kid… I know it won’t be long
The Captain’s calling…come to see you back where we belong
Something inside me is breaking
Something inside says there’s somewhere better than this…
Sunset sailing on April skies
Bloodshot fire clouds in her eyes
I can’t say what I might believe
But if God made you he’s in love with me
Hey Kid…Do wishes count at all
Can you give me a sign…give me anything I won’t tell a soul you told
Hey Kid…Will you hold me when I sleep
Will you find me when the tide decides that I got to leave
Something inside me is breaking
Something inside says there’s somewhere better than this…
Sunset sailing on April skies
Bloodshot fire clouds in her eyes
I can’t say what I might believe
But if God made you he’s in love with me
Sunset sailing on April skies
Bloodshot fire clouds in your eyes
I can’t say what I might believe
But if God made you he’s in love with me
Something inside me is breaking
Something inside says there’s somewhere better than this my love
Sunset sailing on April skies
Bloodshot fire clouds in her eyes
I can’t say what I might believe
But if God made you he’s in love with me
Sunset sailing on April skies
Bloodshot fire clouds in your eyes
I can’t say what I might believe
But if God made you… he’s in love with me…
Despite the angst (sun setting on life view) and questioning nature of this song there is a redeeming sunrise found in the chorus.
“But if God made you he’s in love with me”
This is a sunrise I wake up to every morning when thinking about my fiancé. It is also a strikingly similar statement I have said to her before, only there is no “if” in my words.
“Your love for me is living proof that God loves me and I am thankful He made me to love you”
I can only pray that we will live out our lives as living proof of God’s love to others as we start our life together.
I bought this CD for my wifey cuz she liked the ONE decent song on it.....had to take it back to B&N for a refund. Lewd lyrics and vulgar jacket.....but that;s just me..... ;)
Posted by: You Know Me at May 27, 2004 08:17 AMYou're such a prude! Actually, I didn't even pay attention to the jacket, so I'm not sure what you are talking about there. Besides you can always throw those away and keep the CD.
As for the lewd lyrics, I didn't notice too much. Then again I usually don't pay a whole lot of attention to the lyrics until I've had the CD for a bit, mostly listening to the tune.
I also bought this for my soon to be wifey and she hasn't complained as of yet, but that could be forthcoming.
Posted by: Jeff Price at May 27, 2004 09:10 AMI apologise for my prudeness....It was more a rant against 5fF than you. I'm sorry I wasn't more discretionary. I did not mean to offend....
I love you man
